Tucked away in the heart of El Remate, Guest House Posada Ixchel was a delightful little gem for our romantic escape. Just 30 km from Mundo Maya International Airport, the location was incredibly convenient, especially with the helpful staff arranging a paid airport shuttle for us. The warm ambiance of the guest house was complemented by its charming owner, who went above and beyond to ensure we felt right at home. We loved our cozy room with a private bathroom, not to mention the free WiFi that worked perfectly-I was able to share some history tidbits while relaxing! Plus, with a small supermarket and delightful restaurants just a stone's throw away, we were never at a loss for options. While the beds came with comfy linens, we did notice a few that lacked mosquito nets, which could be a bit annoying. Nonetheless, the charming atmosphere of the jungle surrounding us and the remarkable kindness of the staff made our stay nothing short of enchanting. I highly recommend Posada Ixchel if you're looking for a budget-friendly escape with a personal touch.
